Historical Reasons Behind Mahakal Temple

Well if we talk about the historical reasons behind Mahakal temple then as per the Shiv Puranas, in ancient times, there was 5 year old whose name was Shrikar. Making of Mahakal Temple

Bhagwan Mahakaleshwar Temple is placed close to a lake and has an open yard encompassed by monstrous dividers. The sanctuary has five levels, one of that is underground.
