Kareena Kapoor Biography:
Kareena Kapoor, nicknamed “Bebo” is a well-known Indian film actress. She was born on September 21, 1980. She is the daughter of renowned Bollywood couple Babita and Randhir Kapoor. Also, her elder sister Karishma Kapoor was a leading actress too few years back. From a very young age she received the attention by the media, but it was only in 2000, that she made her debut film.
Kareen Kapoor received her primary education from Jamnabhai Narsee School in Mumbai. Then she shifted to Welham Girls Boarding School, Dehradun and her graduation was from Mithibhai College in Vile Parle, Mambai.
From her childhood she inspired to be an actress, and the India actresses Meena Kumari and Nargis always fascinated her. Kareena Kapoor father didn’t like the idea of women acting in the films, which led to the dispute between her parents. This led to the separation of Babita and Randhir Kapoor and the two sisters stayed with their mother. Babita worked hard to support her daughters till the time Karishma Kapoor debuted as an actress.
The debut film of Kareena Kapoor was “refugee” which earned her “Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.” She has given several hit movies, one being “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” which was the India’s highest grossing film in the year 2001 in overseas market.
Kareena Kapoor got mixed reviews for her films for the initial few years. Although she was appreciated for her acting skill and charming look, she struggled to give hit movies. She started doing more challenging role in order to escape from being typecast. She received overwhelming responses from the critics and the audiences for her versatile roles between 2004 and 2006. The turning point of her career was the movie “chameli,” in which shw was portrayed as a sex worker. She bagged two Critics Awards for Best Actress for her outstanding performances in the movies – Omkara and Dev.
Kareena Kapoor earned her first Filmfare Best Actress Award for Imtiaz Ali romantic comedy movie, Jab We Met, in the year 2007. By then she established herself as on of the leading and eminent actresses of Indian Film Industry.
The off-screen life of Kareena Kapoor has also been in news throughout. She was in the reports of media when she was dating Shahid Kapoor and also when she broke off with Kapoor and started dating Saif Ali Khan. There are speculations of possible marriage between them. She is a person who speaks her heart and is very close to her family and friends.
